Act quickly for a NYC hotel deal

edited May 2008 in Everything Else
If you go to choicehotels.com and look up a room for New York City on June 29th, you can get the Clarion Gem Hotel for $19/night.

It shows as $209 per night, but when you click on "Show Rates", it will have a room fro $19 per night.

Act fast, these things usually get pulled (or booked up) within a matter of minutes.

Nothing. These things pop up randomly. Usually someone leaves out a "zero" when they enter the rate.

I've stayed a week in Paris for 18 cents per night. That was my best deal ever. On average, I score a deal like this a couple of times a year.

If the hotel said it was a mistake and canceled the reservation, I'd be fine with that. That's happened to me a few times. Most often, the hotel honors the rate as a gesture of good-will. I always try to stay at hotels that have honored these rates if I return to that city.
